Most of you have read in our recent article as to how Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was supposed to be lauched at a release price of 12, 999 INR and 16,999 INR. Well there have been some changes in the price rate, as reported by the company. The phone is now to be made available at 13,999 INR, which suggests a price increase of 1000 INR. However, the news regarding the price rate of the 16.699 INR phome has not been confirmed yet.
Xiaomi suppliers have also suggested that there are a lot of to- be buyers who feel dissatisfied when they are not able to buy the phone. This is a move by Xiaomi to better the phone producing infrastructure, by importing PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assembly). This facility will not only lower their cost of producing phones but also will help in producing two phones in one second, where the rate was one phone per second. PCBAs are very vital part of phones, and Xiaomi is currently importing such PCBAs to Sriperembudur in Tamil Nadu and is working in a partnership with Foxconn. Also, reports suggest that Xiaomi sells most of its phones to India, the statistic showing a constitution of 95%.
Xiaomi’s CEO has reported to some journalists in the Bangalore company setup that they want to reach the production rate of 2 phones per second, but have also realized that it will require a minimal amount of time, say 6- 9 months to implement this change.
Xiaomi and Asus are in tough competition as both of them are phone which have been established and have been marketed during the same time frame. Given the news of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 ‘s price hike, is good news for Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, as the prices are limited to 10, 999 INR for 3 GB RAM+ 32 GB Storage, 12,999 INR for 4 GB RAM+ 64 GB Storage. Asus has also announced the release of a new option of the same phone for 14,999 INR for 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. This is a very good option for those who wanted to buy the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but could not because of the price as they can buy the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 due to the low purchase price.
Asus ZenFone M1 has a number of features which outshine Xiaomi Redmi Pro 5, such as it works on Oreo 8.1.0 and does not use the operating system provided by Asus. It has a wonderful dual camera feature at the rear with the primary camera being 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels, the second camera and a LED flash is also present. It also comes with three slots for sims, two of which are for 4G sims and one of them is for expansion. It has also been decided that the phone will operate both on android P and android Q, which will be a competition for Asus ZenFone M1.
