- Samsung Galaxy S9+’s fourth color variant launched in India
- Before this, it was available in Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black

Samsung launches a new color variant for Galaxy S9+- The Sunrise Gold Edition. This handset was launched in India along with Galaxy S9, back in March at the beginning of this year, almost immediately after its unveiling at MWC 2018. After its launch, Galaxy S9+ was made available in Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. From the time Galaxy S9+ was launched, the announcement of the new color on Friday was first such statement made. Alongside, Samsung India has also declared the availability of mobile to TV convergence solution through the TV Control appl of SmartThings.
“These days, consumers express their personality and style through the kind of technology and devices that they choose to use and colors play a major role in that personalization. To add a new classic and modern touch the new Galaxy S9+, we have released the Sunrise Gold Edition. We have also introduced a unified convergence for mobile and TV, to be able to bring significant modernization for our consumers as a part of our Make for India initiative,” said the General Manager of Samsung India, Aditya Babbar. The 128GB variant of Samsung Galaxy S9+ avails the new Sunrise Gold Edition. The phone was released in March this year and is priced at Rs. 68,900. The new, however, is only offered for a limited edition and will be available for sale in select stores from 20th June. Samsung Shop and Flipkart open the pre-bookings from Friday. If any consumer uses Paytm mall app or ICICI Bank credit card to purchase this handset, they can avail the one-time screen replacement offer and cash back of Rs. 9,000.
Talking about the new widget for TV control on SmartThings app, users who have a compatible television to the app will be able to see the widget automatically on their screen, once the feature is enabled on the app. Two-way sound and screen mirroring will also be allowed on the widget. Once the users will allow the TV to the device on their app, the users will be able to view TV on their screen in any room, using the View Screen mode on this widget. The device will also enable users to mirror games and other content to TVs.
The widget on the TV control app will also allow users to stream live music on their TVs and share it with other users, using their TV as a Bluetooth speaker, through the Play Sound option.
