The opening ceremony of IPL will be held in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 7th April 2018. 60 matches will be played in total at 9 different venues across India in 51 days. The first match will be held between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The opening ceremony will start from 5 pm and end by 7:15 pm. After a break of 15 minutes the toss will take place between the two teams and then at 8 pm the match will start. Only the M S Dhoni and Rohit Sharma will be attending the opening ceremony as four matches are lined up the next day.
According to some reports few bollywood actor and actresses will be performing at the opening ceremony. Some of them are Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. Ranveer Singh was also performing but due to some injury he had to pull out of the great event. Now the BBCI is trying to call up Hrithik Roshan for gracing the event. This whole event will cost to 20-30 crores. IPL has now become a big brand with the help of rich owners and co-owners.
