If you have spent your whole childhood in Bangalore, then different places of the city might be important parts of your blur childhood memories, right? Since your childhood, long time has passed. But, some places in Bangalore are exactly the same as they were during your childhood days. Whenever we try to imagine the picture of Bangalore at our childhood times, we can only see greenery of Gulmohar trees along with bright shiny sky. Yes, the city has really changed! The Bangalore City of our childhood has fully transformed along with time. With the pitter patter feet of nostalgia, let’s share some of the childhood Bangalore haunts with you all.
Corner House, Residency Road: At Corner House, we used to enjoy amazing shakes and ice creams. Whether it’s a sundae or a bottle of thick shake, you will surely enjoy any item on your own Riverdale date. Among all the items, “Death By Chocolate” was my favorite and still, it is!
Java City: The Java City on Church Street at Bangalore is undoubtedly one of the best cafes in Bangalore. Now, if you go to Java City, you will be mesmerized with the same ambiance that it used to offer at your childhood. Undoubtedly, Margherita pizza at Java City is the best of all.
Casa Piccola, Cunningham Road: The Casa Picola basement café is in the West Minister Building at Bangalore. Here, we used to play hooky as kids and enjoy our usual food instead of any particular special item. Here, college people come in and enjoy great food while reading or chatting with each other.
Rex, Plaza & Symphony Theatres, and MG Road: At our childhood, there were no Inox! We used to go to the theatres around MG Road with our parents to watch movies. Probably, this is the first multiplex in Bangalore. The best thing is; we used to enjoy movies at just Rs 20! Can you imagine? While some of these theaters have transformed, some are complete the same like before!
KFC, Brigade Road: In 1995, the first shop of Kentucky Fried Chicken opened in Bengaluru. During our high school days, we used to enjoy crispy and spicy KFC chicken! Now, many branches of KFC are there in Bangalore. But, at our times, there was only one branch opened!
Airlines, Off Lavelle Road: At our college days, we used to go and spend our bunked hours in Airlines, Off Lavelle Road. At that time, we didn’t have to pay any parking fees and enjoy tasty pizzas at kombucha stall along with specialty salad.
Gullu’s Chaats & Chetty’s Corner, Sheshadaripuram: Who don’t like chaat! Like you, we loved Gullu’s Chaat and Chetty’s Corner during our childhood days. Still, now, you can easily turn up your car to the stall and enjoy the same taste that you used to enjoy at your childhood.
Well, these are some of the places that we used to go and visit during our childhood days. Till today, you can visit these places and live up your childhood memories again!
